Undergraduate researcher position is available at the MEMS lab at University of Akron, (https://mems.uakron.edu/), beginning at Fall 2023 or Spring 2024. The undergraduate researcher is expected to conduct/assist research on smart materials and AI enabled smart sensors for online machine health monitoring. MEMS Lab is currently conducting research on micro mechanical systems, micro manufacturing, micro/nano fluidic phenomenon, smart materials and structures, micro and nanoscale sensors, lab-on-a-chip devices. Our lab has class 100 clean rooms and various microfabrication and testing facilities. The Lab is well funded by National Science Foundation, as well as other federal/state funding agencies and companies.
